Getting Likes On Facebook To Drive Your Business

Now that your company has created a Facebook page, you may be wondering what you can do to get more people to "Like" your page. Facebook can be a growth generator for your company, but your page must be carefully managed. Here are a few steps you can take to expand your company's presence and reach on Facebook.

Manage - Stay On Top Of Your Company Page

The single most important thing you can do to make your company's Facebook page drive customers to you is to manage the page and not neglect it. Provide updates and fresh content as often as possible. Engage with the people who go to your page. Offer information, ask questions, conduct surveys, post photos or attach links to videos. Keep it interesting and give plenty of opportunity for feedback.

Incentivize - Give Them A Reason To "Like" You

Making offers to persuade people to press "Like" is a great way to gather fans for your company Facebook page. Getting anything, even if it is relatively small, can be all the persuasion needed to entice someone to press the button. Give them something for liking your business. Offering "insider" sales, prizes, giveaways, fan only discounts and contests are proven techniques to increase the number of "Likes" a company's Facebook page has.

Ask For It - It Couldn't Hurt

As the old saying goes, "It couldn't hurt to ask". Sometimes that is all that is needed. If your company already has a website, provide a link to the company Facebook page and don't forget to specifically ask your website users, "Like Us On Facebook". If your business involves face-to-face interaction with your customers, ask them for the "Like". Ask for it on any invoices or paperwork that are part of conducting your company business. If the company does any traditional marketing or advertising, such as print, TV or radio, ask for the "Like" there.

Be persistent in your efforts to get that "Like". The more fans that "Like" your company page, is that many more people who will be receiving your company's marketing messages, product information news and offers that your business has for them. Facebook "Likes" can become regular and loyal customers for your business.
