Providing Exceptional Customer Service

Providing "good" customer service is not enough these days. You must provide EXCEPTIONAL customer service and go beyond customer expectations.  With that in mind, here are some helpful tips for providing exceptional customer service.

1. Listen to your customer's ideas, needs, or concerns. By doing so, you are getting an outsiders point of view regarding your services and products and letting them know that you care about what they think.
2.  Let your customers know you appreciate their business. Thank them sincerely any chance you can. Send them a Thank You note, a small promotional gift, a holiday card, or give them a simple thank you phone call.  Anything you can do to let them know you appreciate them and their loyalty.

3.  Know what your customers want and anticipate their needs. This will keep you one step ahead of them and always provide them with a service or product that they will want.
4. Take time to explain how your product or service works. People will feel more confident about doing business with you if you're perceived as a knowledgeable resource. For repeat customers, reinforce their reasons for choosing to do business with you.

5.  Never make a promise to them that you can't keep. Always be honest with them about what you can or cannot do.

6.  When problems arise, deal with them immediately. Taking responsibility and resolving issues quickly lets customers know you care and they are your number one priority.

7.  Exceed your customer's expectations.  Go out of your way to provide better then average or just "good" customer service. Do whatever it takes to make your business memorable and enjoyable.

These are just a few obvious helpful tips to provide exceptional customer service. Remember, without satisfied customers your business won't grow.
